A recommendation from the home owners....
We are so thrilled that we selected Shayne Stephens (NZ Homes Waikato Ltd) to build our home. The experience was positive and “hassle-free” from start to finish. Right from the beginning Shayne and his team listened to our requirements and gave us their sound professional advice in return. We provided Shayne and his Architect a bullet point wish-list of our wants and were totally blown away when they came back to us with a first draft house plan that not only ticked all the boxes but required very little amendment.
For us, one of the important aspects of building was good honest communication, being kept in the loop and being part of decisions. There were no problems on that front – Shayne encouraged regular contact and on the odd occasion where we had to make a small change due to a change in building regulations, he always did his research and came up with a couple of solutions that we could choose from. At the same time many others in our area were building and we did notice that they did not seem to have the same level of face to face contact with their building team.
Having a team who understood the building code and Council requirements so well really took away the stress for us. We were also impressed with the sub-contractors that worked on our house, all providing good customer service and quality products.
A number of people have complimented us on our house. We were able to create an awesome house, full of quality chattels at a competitive price. Wholeheartedly, we would recommend Shayne Stephens to others. If you want a good reliable builder who is honest and communicates well, look no further. If we were to build again, we wouldn’t look around. Without hesitation we would go back to Shayne.
